You will find great shops at which to eat and peruse for gifts, as well as some great attractions. One of the most popular places to visit in the town is the Copper Village Museum and Arts Center.

Visitors can find the center in the Anaconda City Hall Cultural Center. The City Hall is a beautiful piece of work in its own right. The structure at one time was in danger of being torn down. Instead, the building was renovated and it today on the National Register of Historic Places.

Those who come into the art center are in for a real treat. You will be able to see a wide variety of different kinds of art and artistic styles. From historical pieces to Western art and photos, there is something for everyone to love in the impressive art gallery. You will even be able to see some of the local folk art, as well as a variety of arts and crafts.

Besides the Copper Village Museum and Arts Center, you will also find the Marcus Daly Historical Museum located in the City Hall Cultural Center. Guests will be able to see a number of interesting cultural artifacts at the museum. If you visit the arts center, you should certainly make this a stop on your trip as well. It is well worth your time.

Before leaving the City Hall, make sure you stop by the gift shop and pick up some souvenirs for those who weren’t fortunate enough to make it out to the Copper Village Museum and Arts Center with you. You are sure to find something great at the gift shop.

Located nearby is the Anaconda Smelter Stacks State Park. People who enjoy the outdoors can take a walk around the park and see the old Anaconda Company Smelter Stack. It is one of the tallest free standing brick structures in the world and is even taller than the Washington Monument. Keep in mind that the stack can only be seen and photographed from a distance. This means you should bring a good camera and maybe some binoculars to get a good look.

The Copper Village Museum and Arts Center is a free museum that is open year round.  The museum is open from Tuesday through Saturday from 10AM to 4PM.
