Horseback riding is an activity you can enjoy as often as you like during your stay at Triple Creek Ranch. It’s the perfect way to experience the beautiful natural surroundings of Western Montana.

Horseback riding is available year round at Triple Creek Ranch, and each season offers outstanding opportunities to view wildlife as well as fantastic scenery on your rides. You can ride during the long, blue-sky days of summer, see the wildflower meadows of springtime, or experience the autumnal elegance of Montana in the fall. Few things are as exhilarating as a horseback ride through the forest on a trail of freshly fallen winter snow.

Horseback rides at Triple Creek Ranch are guided walking rides, which helps ensure your safety. It also gives riders the best chance of seeing the wildlife that resides on Trapper Peak. You may see wild turkeys, a bald eagle, or one of many other species of birds that live and nest here depending on the season. You may see magnificent elk or graceful white tail deer. These are just some of the types of animals you can view during your rides.

Rides are available directly on site at Triple Creek Ranch, and an experienced guide will take you on the best trip for your level of riding ability as well as your interest. There is no fee for horseback rides that originate at the ranch as they are included in your stay. You may ride from one to three hours, and small groups of four or less ensure you’ll receive the benefit of your guide’s personal attention.

If you are interested in exploring more trails while horseback riding, off-ranch riding trips can be arranged during the summer and fall months at Triple Creek Ranch. A group of four to six riders can participate in these off-ranch excursions. The horses are trailered to a scenic riding trailhead nearby, and a guide accompanies the group on this longer ride. The cost of off-ranch riding excursions is $100 per person, and you can arrange a trip upon arrival at the ranch.
